Many times through the years Fragou Estate has been chosen for its traditional architecture and remarkable aesthetics as a site for movies, TV series and spots. It is this unique environment that makes the place ideal for a variety of social events, like small wedding receptions and anniversaries, christenings, birthday parties, reunions and corporate events.
There are two dining halls, in one of them a large fireplace warms up the room and in the other, under a stone arch, a grand piano awaits the pianist to accompany her to her songs. At Fragou Estate we host one reception each time, a thing that offers to every event a more private and warm character. The indoor capacity is 80 seated guests and the outdoor 120 guests.
Tastings
Fragou Estate is only a 10 minutes drive from the Athens airport. Tourists, who use our place as their first or last stop in Greece, can participate in wine tastings, olive oil presentations and cooking demonstrations, where recipes based on the philosophy of the Cretan diet are presented. In the beautiful environment of a traditional home and in a way that is both educational and pleasurable people come in touch with the country’s tradition and products.
Children’s parties
The traditional building at Fragou Estate reminds the kids of houses they have seen in children’s books and fairytales. It looks like a small castle. What our ancestors actually did was to build their house in such a way that would protect them against the pirates and the thieves who frequently visited the area in those days. During the guided tour we offer to our younger guests, we explain to them why in the past people used to build houses like this one, with thick stone walls, gunsites, interior yards and all. Moreover working with professionals in the field of kids’ entertainment we created a variety of programs from which you and your kid can choose and make the party at Fragou Estate a quite unique and memorable experience.
